Hi! I'm Kyle.
And I absolutely love my job!
I began working in the counseling field sort of on a fluke. As a recent graduate from Colorado Mesa University, I was floating around town from job to job, trying to find my niche, when a dear friend asked me if I had ever considered working with troubled youth. One thing led to another, and I began working at Hand Up Homes For Youth as a teacher/milieu counselor. It was this experience working with offense specific teenage males that made me realize that being a counselor was my true calling. I then went on to receive my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Adams State University and have since been working with diverse populations as a mental health counselor at the CMU Student Wellness Center, as well as the Griffith Centers For Children.
I have a passion for freedom, and believe that we all have the power within ourselves to overcome adversity through expression and channeling of that freedom. Thus, Freedom In Restoring-Self Therapy and Counseling was born.
In order to make the world a better place, I believe we have to make our lives and homes a better place first. I would be honored to help you along in your journey, and likewise, have you along for mine.
